Huni Kuin Tribe Weekend

March 13, 2026 - March 15, 2026

We are honored to receive a rare and powerful constellation of wisdom to OM Jungle Medicine:

Majã Bimi Shu Ikaya, her grandson Paje Inka Yube Huni Kuin, and his partner Kene Yari Huni Kuin, accompanied by their son Muka Tete. Together, they carry the breath of the forest, the memory of their ancestors, and the vision of a future rooted in healing and cultural strength.

This is not simply a visit it is a transmission. A living lineage arrives to share healing, song, and story. Their presence invites us to listen deeply, to reconnect with the Earth, and to remember the sacredness of life.

The wisdom of the forest is alive through their songs, prayers and deep ancestral connection. Together we will gather in community to share the sacred medicines of the Amazon, opening space for healing, learning, and remembrance.

This is a rare and beautiful moment to walk with true indigenous knowledge, to receive their medicine , and to honor the ways of the forest.

The Huni Kuin , OR ‘TRUE PEOPLE” are in the indigenous community deeply connected to their identity and heritage.

They primarily live in the Brazilian Amazon, particularly in Acre. With ancestral lands extending into the eastern Peru. Despite late contact with the western world and enduring decades of persecution the Huni Kuin have preserved their Spiritual practices, culture expressions and strong relationship with nature.

The Huni Kuin speak Hātxa Kuin and live in bilingual reality, with Portuguese and Spanish as secondary languages. This Linguistic diversity reflects their ability to navigate both their traditional way of life and modern world.

This village was founded by Bimi Shu Ikaya . A Majé and one of the first woman to work with the sacred medicines of the forest. The community is clebreatted for the preserving of its ancestral culture through art, prayers, spiritual practices and deeps sense of joy and unity. It serves as a Hub for sharing wisdom. Fostering culture exchange and maintaining the spiritual heritage of the Huni Kuin people.

Aldeia Segredo Do Artesāo is one of the most traditional Huni Kuin villages, Preserving and reviving its Millennia- Old Amazonian knowledge and traditions.

Meet your indigenous facilitators:

Pajé Inka Yube Huni Kuin, a spiritual leader, healer, and guardian of ancestral wisdom from the Huni Kuin people of the Brazilian Amazon. From the time of his mother’s gestation, Inka was guided by his grandmother—the revered Majé Bimi Shu Ikaya—to walk the path of pajé. Through sacred diets and spiritual preparation, he was initiated into the deep healing traditions of his people.

Inka carries the force of the forest, the gift of spiritual healing, and the courage of a young warrior devoted to creating better days for his community and for all of humanity. His ceremonies are rooted in prayer, sacred song, and the transmission of ancient knowledge through presence and vibration.

Through the creation of the NGO Aldeia do Futuro (Village of the Future), Inka fulfills his life’s purpose: to reclaim ancestral knowledge and strengthen the cultural identity of the Huni Kuin people. His work bridges worlds—bringing the pulse of the forest into spaces of healing, dialogue, and transformation.

Accompanied by Kene Yari & Muka Tete Inka travels with his partner, Kene Yari Huni Kuin, a gifted musician and artmaker whose voice and creations carry the beauty and depth of Huni Kuin tradition. Her songs are prayers, her art a living expression of the forest’s spirit. Together, they weave ceremony with love, harmony, and creative power.

Their son, Muka Tete Huni Kuin, also joins them—bringing the joy and continuity of lineage into each space they enter.

This is a rare and sacred opportunity to receive a family whose lives are devoted to healing, cultural preservation, and the awakening of collective consciousness. Their presence invites us to listen deeply, to remember, and to reconnect with the Earth and with spirit.

About Bimi Shu Ikaya

Bimi Shu Ikaya is a powerful figure whose story resonates deeply with themes of resilience, ancestral wisdom, and feminine leadership within indigenous Amazonian culture.

🎬 Bimi Shu Ikaya is also the title of a 2018 documentary directed by Isaka Huni Kuin and Siã Huni Kuin, which centers on Bimi, a matriarch and spiritual leader of the Huni Kuin people in Acre, Brazil. Her journey is remarkable: in a traditionally patriarchal society, Bimi broke taboos by becoming both the pajé (healer) and the political leader of her own village, which she founded after leaving her original community due to internal challenges A B C.

🌱 Roles and Impact:

• She organized her own village—an act previously reserved for men in her culture C.
• As a pajé, she carries and transmits ancestral healing knowledge.
• Her leadership gave visibility to indigenous women’s voices, challenging gender norms and inspiring future generations.

We are honored to host Bimi Shu Ikaya, a revered elder and spiritual leader from the Huni Kuin people of the Brazilian Amazon. As one of the first women in her tradition to found and lead her own village, Bimi embodies the strength of ancestral wisdom and the courage to break cultural boundaries with grace.

A pajé (healer) and guardian of sacred plant knowledge, Bimi carries songs, stories, and rituals that have been passed down through generations. Her presence is a living bridge between worlds—between forest and city, tradition and transformation, feminine intuition and communal leadership.

Through her teachings, ceremonies, and gentle guidance, Bimi invites us to reconnect with the Earth, with spirit, and with the deeper rhythms of life. Her journey has been beautifully documented in the film Bimi Shu Ikaya, directed by her grandchildren, offering a rare glimpse into the resilience and vision of indigenous women reclaiming their voice.

This is a rare opportunity to sit with a true elder—one whose life is a prayer, and whose words carry the pulse of the forest. Together, they carry the breath of the forest, the memory of their ancestors, and the vision of a future rooted in healing and cultural strength.
