Yagé Grandmother Weekend Ceremony
November 17 - November 19
Join us on a profound spiritual journey as we delve into the ancient wisdom of the Siona people’s lineage and the sacred medicine of Yagé. Meet Taita John Alexander Castaño, a traditional doctor from the Putumayo region in the Colombian Amazon.
🍃 For over 600 years, the Piaguaje lineage of the Siona people has prepared the sacred Yagé medicine in their Ancestral Ayahuasca Kitchen. This sacred space rests at the heart of the Amazon Rainforest, along the serene banks of the Putumayo River, within the Siona reservation territory.
🌱 Yagé serves as a messenger of harmony, echoing the voices of our ancestors. It beckons us to reconnect with our roots, embrace nature, and forge connections with all living beings, paving the path to a life of tranquility.
🍂 This sacred concoction contains DMT, the molecule of life and death. It guides us into altered states of consciousness, unlocking the depths of our mind, body, and spirit.
🌟 The medicine empowers us to:
– Integrate our being with the essence of life
🌏 It calls us to form a new tribe, a collective of guardians safeguarding the sacred fountain of life that originates in the heart of the Amazon.
🌌 And above all, it reminds us that we are not separate from the universe, but rather, we are one with it.
🌿 Taita John Alexander Castaño, the heir to the wisdom passed down through generations, hails from the lineage of Grandfather Laureano Piaguaje, who lived to be 113 years old, he served as the highest authority within his community and among the Traditional Doctors of the Siona Tribe in the Putumayo Region of Colombia. Though Grandfather Laureano Piaguaje passed away on May 8, 2019, his legacy and the wisdom of the Siona Tribe continue to thrive.
Join us on this transformative journey of self-discovery, connection, and unity with the universe. Embrace the ancient wisdom of the Siona people and the healing power of Yagé.
